There's an infestation of cats at Clapham Common... and it's adorable

Crazy Cat Owner

So it turns out, Funterventions isn't the only successful cat-related Kickstarter on the block, especially around South London.

Recently, a group called Glimpse, who describe themselves as "a group of friends who want to use creativity for good" launched their first project called the Citizens Advertising Takeover Service (CATS). They ran a Kickstarter campaign to replace dozens of advertisements at the Clapham Common tube station with... PICTURE OF CATS!!

And they did it! The installation will be visible for two weeks and started on Sep 12.

Here's a few pics from their site CatsNotAds.org

Many of the cats featured in this takeover are from Cats Protection, the UK’s largest feline welfare charity which helps 200,000 cats and kittens find new homes each year.

In a press release to Mashable, Glimpse founder James Turner was quoted as saying, "We tried to imagine a world where public space made you feel good. We hope people will enjoy being in the station and maybe think a bit different about the world around them."

We at Funterventions share their vision for a world full of cats. For the moment, our canvases aren't billboards and instead are books, t-shirts, and coffee mugs. But who knows what the future brings? One tiny cat step at a time...
